Authentic French cuisine in a rural Kent hamlet

Fans of the cuisine of Joel Gross are beating a path to The Timber Batts which is a 15th century pub (built in the reign of Henry VII) now with an authentic French restaurant "Froggies" set in a hamlet deep in unspoilt and spectacular Kent countryside at Bodsham, near Wye, Ashford. |

The beamed and timbered bar has an inglenook fireplace the size of a small room and, on a lower level, a reception bar with a large open fire. |

The restaurant has its own huge fireplace, more beams, plus old pine tables (some with low back settees) and candles. Favourites include superb stuffed mussels, a classic duck confit salad, perfect rack of lamb with herbs, and prime fillet of beef with Roquefort sauce amongst others.
